Here are some facts on smoking

Everyone knows that smoking is a huge health risk. And not only for the pack a day smokers--it is unhealthy even for a one a day or four a day puffer.

Some health issues are:
lung cancer, emphysema, various lung diseases, increased risk of heart attacks and strokes, high blood pressure, increases LDL (bad cholesterol), reduces HDL (good  cholesterol), smokers are more likely to develop ulsers, heartburn, increases the risk of getting age-related cataracts and/or macular degeneration, diabetes, wrinkled skin. These are just a few issues that smoking can cause.

Some tips to help you stop smoking are:
Suck on a lime when you feel you need a smoke, chew on a piece of gum when you crave a cigarette (esp. one flavored with real peppermint), chew on a licorice stick, start drinking herbal tea (containing catnip, chamomile, hops, lobelia, or valerian), get lots of vitamin B.

Wow, I guess the first topic that I'll talk about will be 'helpful hints'. Okie dokie, grab a good drink, find the most comfy spot in your house and let's get going.

Think I'll go alphabetically (or not):

ACNE--First off it is not caused by dirt:

(1) Been having acne for over 4 years...used a lot of over-the-counter stuff -nothing worked. ... Drink a lot of water! that usually helps a lot!!! Went to the dermatologist a few weeks ago, prescribed  Clinmadycin 1% and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel 2.5%...if you see me now, you would never think that I had bad acne before...everything disappeared. He told me to apply both after using a  BPface wash with 10% twice a day. Acne can make you feel very bad about yourself.  I have also been taking gel capsules of vitamin E.
(2) Murad face wash, on the spot treatment,acne gel, and lotion . Its the best stuff. So much better than other acne treatments out there.

Some effective ways on how to get rid of acne overnight. Here's what you should do to make it happen.

(1)Wash your face with warm water. Use a mild cleanser to wash away the oil and dirt residue on your face.

(2)Now it's time to exfoliate. You want to get rid of the layer of dead skin on your face to help make room for new, clean skin, but you don't want to scour your face red. A mild facial scrub that you can make yourself by mixing together sugar, toothpaste - not gel - and a bit of water. Mix them together until you have a paste and gently apply the paste to your face. Massage it into your skin, paying special attention to your problem areas, and then rinse it off with warm water.

(3)Apply a dab of toothpaste (not gel) on the acne area. Leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes then wash it off and pat your face dry.

(4)You can use homemade facial masks to help your skin. You can use plain oatmeal to make a mask, since oatmeal is good at absorbing the oils your skin produces and can be easily washed away. Another possibility is using egg whites. Eggs contain vitamin A which helps firm your skin, and also has its own exfoliating properties.

(5)Another way to help with single pimples is to wet a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol or eye drops, gently dab at any swollen, irritated acne.

(6)You may also apply some homemade acne cleansing solutions over the infected area. You may use a mixture of half teaspoon tomato juice and one teaspoon of honey. This mixture gives you a brilliant cleansing agent that is very effective in curing all kinds of acne. You may also dab apple cider vinegar or hydrogen peroxide over the problem area to help it dry faster.

(7)Another way is to use natural herbs. Herbs like burdock, sarsaparilla and yellow dock brings your acne into a more manageable state. You can use tea tree oil, mixture or groundnut oil and lime juice or lemon juice and rosewater solutions on your face.

(8)Remember that nothing makes you feel better like a good night's sleep. But don't sleep on your acne, the pillowcase can rub against the area and leave it more inflamed and red.

If your acne isn't completely gone in the morning, try holding ice to the area for a minute or so to reduce the swelling and redness. Then simply conceal it with a mineral based cosmetic. Any concealers or powders made with oil can make your acne worse.

Many prescription medicines, soaps, and creams promise overnight relief. But for those emergencies knowing how to get rid of acne overnight, these tips and tricks are not only more cost effective, they are also kinder to your skin than a harsh chemical. Remember that the more severe your outbreak, the longer it will take to heal.

With time, your skin will clear up. All you can do is try to help it along. When looking for answers on how to get rid of acne overnight, remember that your skin is unique and may not respond to some forms of treatment as quickly as you would like. But with these hints, hopefully you'll see signs of improvement.
